The TPS24-6DC-DBT is a state-of-the-art switch-mode power supply featuring high performance extremely low noise operation, providing 24.1Vdc 6A continuous output with an additional 27.6Vdc battery charger rated at 1.4A to charge SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) standby batteries. This model features an onboard microprocessor based dynamic battery test module which samples the battery voltage. The test time is factory preset and can be ordered for either hourly or twenty four hourly operation and operates whilst connected to mains power. Normal low battery functions continue to operate during mains failure. If the battery voltage is measured below the preset threshold the low battery relay and LED will trigger and stay activated until reset by a technician.
In the event of mains failure, standby battery voltage is clamped to 24Vdc and instantaneously powers the load – particularly useful for powering voltage sensitive devices such as long range proximity card readers and other “true 24Vdc” equipment. Upon restoral of the mains power batteries are disconnected from the load and recharging commences automatically. Incorporating short circuit and thermal overload protection, the TPS24-6DC has been designed and thoroughly tested to comply with stringent AS/NZS 60950.1.2015 Electrical Safety and CISPR11:2004 EMC standards, making them energy authority approved & suitable for use in domestic, industrial scientific and hospital applications.

The advanced design of the TPS24-6DC provides outstanding performance in the field, whilst maintaining significantly lower operating temperatures than conventional power supplies. A removable 10 way connector provides outputs for DC Load, Battery Charger, Mains Fail Relay & Low Voltage / Battery Fail Relay Output.
Equipped with an AC fail relay and Green LED indicator which changes state upon loss of 240V AC mains power, the low battery relay and Red LED indicator are only functional during a mains power failure and will operate when the battery voltage reaches 22.5V.
This supply is designed to operate at full output from 0-45’C without derating and does not require additional heat-sinks or fans to meet stated specifications, relying only on convection cooling.
